Work Site Assessment/Task Analysis
A work site assessment is completed in order to assess and document the physical requirements of a specific work role. Although this can occur at any stage, it is recommended that a task analysis be documented prior to employment of staff. In the event of an injury these documents can then provide the basis for injury rehabilitation and graded return to work.
Healthrise can provide an in-depth analysis of the work requirements of positions. Analysis is detailed but will include at a minimum:
- Written description of position and duties
- Layout of work environment
- Actions required, including repetitions and need to maintain static positions
- Weights to be lifted and manoeuvred
- Environmental factors – heat, cold
- Anthropometric requirements
- Inherent hazards/risks of tasks
- Skills and experience – training needs
- Mechanical Aids to support position, availability and recommendations regarding use
Staff at Healthrise have provided worksite assessment across a wide range of work environments and are available to complete on site visits, including visits to hazardous work environments. Out of hours visits can also be arranged e.g. for night shift staff.
